There are many on-street and off-street parking options near the Discovery Centre. The closest are:

• Wilson Parking off Frome Road in Lot Fourteen
• UPark Frome on Frome Street.

Lot Fourteen restricted mobility access pick up and drop off locations.

Train: The closest train station to the Discovery Centre is Adelaide Railway Station. It is a 15-minute walk or a short tram ride from the Railway Station.

Tram: The Discovery Centre can be accessed by the free city loop trams that run frequently along North Terrace. Alight at the Botanic Gardens stop.

Bus: The Discovery Centre can be accessed by a range of bus routes.

Pre-booked tickets are not required to attend a general session at the Discovery Centre. These sessions are free, self-guided, and do not have a time limit. Regular presentations are held across the day.

The Discovery Centre offer venue hire options for organisation or community groups to hold a special event. Please email info@discover.space.gov.au to make any enquiries.

The on-site Lot Fourteen Wilson car park contains 12 accessible parking spots and is approximately 300m from the Australian Space Discovery Centre.

The bathrooms can be accessed from the corridor past the Endeavour room. There are female and male bathrooms, each with an accessible cubicle. There is also an additional separate unisex accessible toilet and shower.

The Discovery Centre accessible toilet and shower is not fitted with a hoist or fixed ceiling hoist. However, the City of Adelaide has public Changing Places with a fixed ceiling Hoist (model: CHS Prism Medical C450) with lifting capacity of 205 kg at nearby Rymill Park/Murlawirrapurka (Park 14). The Discovery Centre is a breastfeeding-friendly institution. You are welcome to breastfeed anywhere in the Discovery Centre. If you would like a quiet space to feed, we have a dedicated Carer’s Room behind the Endeavour Room. There is a seat in the Carer’s Room, as well as a tap, sink and microwave.

The Discovery Centre has written directions and explanations on most exhibits. There is also clear signage throughout the Discovery Centre.

The Theatrette and Endeavour Room have been fitted with a hearing augmentation system. Staff can provide the corresponding headphones on request.

There are 5 seating pods in the Discovery Centre, as well as 2 higher tables. There is also seating in the theatrette. Both the eastern promenade and the western courtyard have built-in seating in the form of concrete benches. There is further seating (concrete benches and marble seats) on North Terrace around the Community Café.

The Discovery Centre is fully accessible with no stairs or ramps upon entry or exit. Wheelchair users will be able to freely move through all areas of the Discovery Centre. The surrounding Lot Fourteen precinct is also all flat without stairs.
